We size the lamp to match your line speed and the ink you’re running. A common setup uses a 2500W halogen infrared tube. That wattage gives you the concentrated heat needed to flash the solvent off in a blink, right when the glass is under the lamp. Choosing 400V isn’t fancy—it’s practical. It lines up with standard industrial power, lowers the current, and keeps wiring lean. You get smaller conductors and less voltage drop over distance. Then there’s the 300mm tube length, which creates a tight heating zone. It puts the heat where you need it—on the print—without roasting the surrounding glass or equipment.
Inside the Lamp: Halogen, Quartz, a Smart Coating, and the Right Fit
At the heart is a shortwave infrared halogen element, sealed inside a quartz envelope. Quartz handles high heat and lets infrared through cleanly. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so output stays steady over a long life. The inner wall has a mirror coating that catches stray radiant energy and bounces it back—onto the filament and forward toward the target. That means more usable heat, packed tighter, and the lamp warms up faster. For connections, we go with an R7s connector.
